Profile still in the old format Thread poster: Hepburn

I was waiting to see the change (already glimpsed at a while ago through link given in this forum) but to this day I still have the old format when I get on to ProZ. Could someone look into it please? Maybe I should have clicked somewhere or cut a ribbon... | | | Ralf Lemster Germany Local time: 07:57 English to German + ... | Sonja Tomaskovic (X) Germany Local time: 07:57 English to German + ...
As I understand it, the new profile format won't become available before May 2006. What we were shown was a preview of the new profile, so we could better raise our concerns or file for improvements. If I am not completely mistaken, the old profile is what everyone else (including me) sees when coming to Proz. Sonja | | | Hepburn France Local time: 07:57 English to French + ... Hello Ralph, Thanks for quick response. The above url takes me to: http://www.proz.com/profile/43848 where there is a page not found notice. Teething trouble of course. I leave it in your able hands.. TWO minutes later: I can see that there is an extra *b* in the actual URL of the page reached: probfile/b/43848 I removed it and THEN my new page appeared. Now, you know the problem!

Sonja Thank you Sonja: you are right in everything, but this is what Henry said and note the last two lines which I was bearing in mind: "We will begin making use of the new display format as early as May. However, your current profile design will remain accessible thereafter (at the current "/pro" URL), so if you prefer it (or have given out the URL), you can continue to use it as-is. On the other hand, if you prefer the new format, you will be able to start using it at the beginning of April." So, I was on the starting blocks, see?
