A dog? Sep 23, 2017

Yes, I have two dogs and both of them are great, but a dog ?

A supportive network of family and friends is your best ally IMO. You can have the best projects and the best deadlines, but what's it all for at the end of the day?

I did enjoy the first poll option though. My favourite dog is called 'Doggy'. I adore him.

A good client Sep 23, 2017

I haven't been working for a few days now and I really know how important a good client is.

I could have answered "other" though, my two adorable cats and their purring that make you forget any trouble.

In my case, my husband. Because there are times when, after I've consulted every available dictionary, forum, and reference book in vain, he can look at a sentence and tell me that they put a comma in the wrong place, or misspelled a word, inadvertently changing the meaning entirely. Half the time I can see what the problem might be, but it's really good to have confirmation.

Now, that's what I call a great asset for a translator!

define:friend Sep 24, 2017

As far as the question is about a person or people, some replies make me wonder a little)
The best friend money can buy? They say we are our own best friends... and worst fiends.

Perhaps, working with direct clients, I could call some of them as friends, because our relations spread beyond biz and profits only.

dogs Jan 19, 2018

They act as alarm clock, remind me to take breaks, force me to stretch my legs in between and keep my feet warm.
They destroy print-outs on command to save all those expenses associated with paper shredders.
And one of them notices when my eyes are about to start burning from looking at the screen, and stops me just before I reach that point.
What more could you ask for?
