How to translate Trados GroupShare projects with CafeTran Espresso?

Trados GroupShare is the newer server technology solution from Trados. You need Trados to download Trados GroupShare projects for translation with CafeTran Espresso.

Procedure:

1. Click on the project URL in the mail from your client.
2. Wait until Trados has openend the project.
3. Check the project out. Open the SDLXLIFF files.
4. (Only if all target segments are empty: Copy all source segments to the corresponding target segments.)

3. Check the project out. Open the SDLXLIFF files.
4. (Only if all target segments are empty: Copy all source segments to the corresponding target segments.)
5. Save the project, close Trados.
6. Copy all SDLXLIFF files from the target language subfolder of the project folder to a CafeTran Espresso work folder.
7. Translate the SDLXLIFF files in CafeTran Espresso. Finalise them.
8. Copy all SDLXLIFF files from the CafeTran Espresso work folder to the target language subfolder in the Trados project folder.
9. Open the SDLXLIFF files in Trados. Save them. Close them.
10. Check the files in to the GroupShare server. ▲ Collapse
