how's the weather generally, at the end of August, in Buenos Aires?

The weather is cold, sometimes very cold (5° or 6°degrees centigrades) and Buenos Aires is wet all year long! You'll need sweaters and a warm jacket!

not this really is a problem... as I was planning to combine the conference with my summer holidays, but my boyfriend hates winter. all he wants is sun, sand and beach..

You can come to the conference, then go North, to the Iguazú falls, where the weather is warmer and sometimes (even in winter) is hot!
Anyway, Buenos Aires isn't thaaaat cold everyday and we do have beautiful and sunny days in winter. Don't miss it!

and see if I succeed in convincing my boyfriend... ) But I must admit that I'm a very chilly person. That's why I haven't visited Krakow (this year's location) almost at all... And it's quite a pitty to go somewhere and just stay in the hotel.

The powwow will take place at about 9 pm. More information will follow soon as we first need to confirm how many of you are coming and who else is coming with some of you (many prozians from abroad are bringing partners/kids/friends). We will start contacting you ref this powwow very soon. Stay tuned.
