Source text - Spanish Parece una epidemia global que junto con el cambio climático nos orilla a la tragedia, es una especie de moda en la cual las personas llegan a la creencia de que lo único necesario para que las cosas sucedan es desearlas. O, peor aún, cuando se trata de un político, prometerlas.
Para éstas personas cuando un paleontólogo afirma que un dinosaurio se alimentaba de algo en particular, les parece más bien una adivinación que carece de sustento por que dicho paleontólogo, obviamente, no estuvo ahí, para atestiguar como es que se alimentaban aquellas criaturas.
Es por lo anterior que planteo la necesidad de difundir, con mucha más contundencia, que una de las características más importantes del álgebra es la capacidad de deducir información tomando en cuenta el entorno en que ésta se obtiene. Y que, si se estudia álgebra desde los niveles básicos de la educación, no es para encontrar el valor de $x$ sino para experimentar como a través del uso de la lógica se pueden encontrar los valores de las incógnitas. Es decir, el álgebra es una disciplina que nos ayuda a ver cómo la lógica puede encontrar información con una precisión infinita.
Así, por ejemplo en la ecuación
$$ x^2 -10x -y +25 =0 $$
Tanto $x$ como $y$ son valores incógnitos o por definir que pueden estar representando una infinidad de situaciones, pero ahí presentes, aún que no jugando el papel protagónico, se encuentran los demás símbolos y números que constituyen el entorno y acotan o limitan en forma definitiva las posibilidades de las variables.

A kind of fashion in which the people come to the belief that the only thing needed to make things happen is to wish them.. Or, worse still, when it comes to a politician, promise them.
For these people when a paleontologist claims that a dinosaur fed on something in particular, they think, is like a divination that lacks sustenance, since that said paleontologist, obviously, was not there, to witness how those creatures feed.
It is therefore that I raise the need to disseminate, much more strongly, that one of the most important features of algebra is its capability to deduced information using the environment in which it is obtained. And, if you study algebra since the basic levels of education, is not to find the value of $x$, but to experience how the values of the unknowns can be found through the use of logic. I.e., the algebra is a discipline that helps us see how logic can find information with infinite precision.
Thus, for example in the equation
$$ x ^ 2-10 x - y + 25 = 0 $$
$x$ and $y$ are unknown values, or values to be defined, and can represent an infinite number of situations, but there present, even not playing the leading role, are still other symbols and numbers that constitute the environment and limit the possibilities of the variables.
