Brainstorming as a powerful tool for training simulteneous interpreters is considered to be possible if: 1/ the students have well-developed linguistic skills in bothe languages which can be obtained through: a/ the intensive languages training; b/ extensiv reading on specialty and relative literature (alternative reading); c/ communication with the field specialists; d/ constant participation at conferences, workshops, meetings; e/ practical implementation of knowledge, strategies and tactics ... Brainstorming is not only a means of training but also a very objective mens of testing prospective interpreters for simulteneous interpreting skills. Of course, there should be elaborated possibly acceptable mens of the evaluation of brainstorming which requires stability of NERVOUS SYSTEM and cannot be used the studnet is examined by a medical doctor; for psychologically unstable students brainstorming can be ruinous. A forcefull attack directed toward a badly prepared student may provoke depression, a nervous breakdown or even a more serious injury to one's psyche. Hi, Not sure if you talk about brainstorming understood as "a group creativity technique designed to generate a large number of ideas for the solution to a problem." (Wikipedia).
