Of course, everyone is free to define his own weekend, but I'm sure I'm not the only one in the Proz community who has clients in different parts of the world where weekends can vary. In my case for example, my clients in the Middle East have a weekend on Thursday-Friday, those in Europe on Saturday-Sunday. Yes I check them, but less frequently and then I usually don't reply before Monday. I think it's very important indeed to have weekends. It seems to be increasingly normal for people to say "What weekend" and also for clients to assume that we don't have them. This is a state of affairs that seriously worries me. Of course I occasionally work on weekends too, but I try to avoid it because weekends are important to recover from work and do other things (and I don't mean just the dishes and...
