provide feeding assistance
Eu diria simplesmente assim para simplificar, pois não há muita diferença em alimentar uma pessoa totalmente ou simplesmente ajudá-la a alimentar-se.

I have another suggestion in case the gender is really not specified: Feed him/her or help him/her to eat.
I don't think "they"would be the correct one to use here.

It says ailmentá-lo, from my understanding "lo" is like "him". Should be "los" for them or "la" for her. Am I wrong?

: I agree with Douglas. This section does not specify that the patient is definitely male. Unless the rest of the file makes it clear the patient is male, use neutral language.
