@ Matheus I should have mentioned that I found that reference, but the word seems to be rare in English. I thought there might be a more common term.

I think "waxes" is an option too:

"Waxes" and "wax esters" are also used to refer to cerides. Ex.:

Hi! See my note. I had seen that definition, but very few occurrences when I searched the Internet. Since this is a basic course, I assumed there would be a more familiar term.
