This is a research paper on the Hurst Exponent; a statistical analysis on how financial markets perform over a period of time and their predictability etc.
The above phrase appears in the below mentioned quote and I believe it is tied up in statistical/mathematical jargon that I am not familiar with.
My idea reads something like. "A future event will have a tendency towards the same direction as previously observed".???
Any comments gratefully received.
"Um evento futuro terá comportamento de mesma direção que o observado anteriormente. Em outras palavras, impactos que ocorram no retorno do mercado hoje vão repercutir por vários dias."
