I've been searching for the term "cubicador" in PT/PT, and PT/BR and I only could find it related to a "thing/equipment", not to a "person". (vd. http://www.aimmp.pt/index.php?option=com_content&view=articl... I think guess it is a misspelled word/adaptation. For the term "cubidor", the result of the search is even smaller. Due to the context, I agree with Martin' suggestion.

Thanks... Thank you, everyone! When we used to receive truck-loads of sand, we would invite the driver "Vamos cubar a areia?", i.e. measure length, width and average height (always disupted!) to calculate the number of cubic meters of sand. I have been inspired to post an answer...

cubidor From the context that you give, I would guess that this is the person whose job is to calculate cubic meters of timber. It sounds like an invented term. In English, it might be something like "timber volume calculator", though I don't believe that this term exists in English.

Well, Mozambique's Portuguese is definitely closer to the European than Brazilian - unfortunately I couldn't find the term, perhaps a Mozambican colleague can help you.

The text is from Mozambique and I think their Portuguese is closer to the European form than Brazilian. But I am sure they have some terms of their own, too.
