Portuguese term

armar (desarmar) mangas

Portuguese to English Tech/Engineering Aerospace / Aviation / Space
This is an Angolan text dealing with procedures in an airplane cabin at takeoff and before landing. The attendants receive the instruction to "armar" mangas along with closing doors and doing a cross-check. I have been told this means "doors on automatic" - Does anyone know this term and what "manga" means here?
