Italian term

casa rurale \"a fasce\"

Italian to English Other Architecture In A Journal Article
Contesto:

Tiered country house

Or hillside house.

I'd say it means tiered, as the source talks about terrazze on which it is built so it's a multi-level house built into the hillside.

Picture of "case a fasce"

This link (https://books.google.ca/books?id=GiLrlA4fTO8C&pg=PT6&lpg=PT6... lets you see a picture of case "a fasce". They seem to be multi-story buildings with the dwelling units occupying portions of each floor. The different units are painted in different colors.
No idea how to render it in English. This type of house seems peculiar to the Liguria region of Italy; it may be justified to leave it in Italian and provide a brief explanation within brackets.
