French term

pied de bouclage

French to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering construction defects
Vitrage et Carrelage
(Lot CHARPENTE COUVERTURE ZINGUERIE)
- Mettre en place une barrette d’angle sur pied de bouclage

This is on the list of reservations in the written report of the delivery of the property (procès verbal de livraison) sold off plan. All I can find is "at foot of looping" . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With Bourth If Bourth hasn't given an answer we must be talking some fairly obscure or very recent terminology ... or else terminology used in a strange way.
I did a bit of gsearching and "Bouclage des réseaux d’ECS" indeed tends to emerge as a pretty convincing candidate. What with heat pumps and stuff, which have to have an outside element, maybe this has something to do with that? A rain guard over the outside fan unit? Something like that? Just a guess.
Before Daryo (for example) bites my head off, yes, I realise a heat pump would be pumping "EC" but not "ECS"!
Daryo Mar 7:
If you take a look at few "Lot CHARPENTE COUVERTURE ZINGUERIE" - easy to find in publicly available tenders - and see what's typically included in this "lot" [more or less **roofing**] you can discard water pumps or any kind of water going in circles. In

"- Mettre en place une barrette d’angle sur pied de bouclage"

this "pied de bouclage" looks to me like some kind of "device used to keep in place" this "barrette d’angle" - that being some kind of short bar that is either angled or meant to be placed at "the angle" of s.t. IOW this "bouclage" would be some kind of ring that holds this "barrette" in position.

It would really help to have a detailed description of the defect this "barrette d’angle" is supposed to fix.
Ben Gaia Mar 4:
hits Try offline sources when there are no "hits". Often older or specialist dictionaries have a wealth of practical terminology.
Bourth Mar 4:
What are the other defects surrounding this? It's not vitrage and carrelage exactly, but bouclage CAN refer to a DHW recirculation system (so if the hot water tank is a long way from your bath, etc., you can have hot water pumped in a loop so that it is always near the taps and you don't waste water. Also regard de bouclage (drainage) which is prob. even less likely.
Emmanuella Mar 4:
Quelle est la raison de cette réserve ?
philgoddard Mar 4:
It gets only one hit, which relates to sewing machines and doesn't appear to be relevant to your context.

Barrette d'angle is angle bar/iron, and 'bouclage' can mean the same as 'blocage', so a base that locks it in place?
