Boom-supported elevating work platforms

A simple hazard analysis is done as part of Management of Change (MOC) or more complex hazard analyses are done using tools including Reactive Chemical Process Hazard Analysis (RCPHA).
You can contact your local Process Safety Technology Center member for information on how to conduct a Hazard Analysis.
Tools are available to help you through the Hazard Analysis.
They can be found under Tools, Templates, and Checklists.
Aerial Lift Device (GEWS)
Any device, extensible, articulating or both, which is primarily designed and used to position personnel for elevated work.
The device may also be used to handle material if designed and equipped for that purpose.
Examples include:
· Vehicle-mounted elevating and rotating aerial devices (e. g., boom truck)
· Self-propelled elevating work platforms (e. g., boom lift), and
· *Boom-supported elevating work platforms* (e. g. scissors lift).
All Employees (EWP)
All employees that normally encounter exposure to electrical hazards in the normal execution of their job responsibilities.
(Example: office workers, manufacturing personnel, R&D employees, general maintenance personnel, electricians, crane operators, etc.)
