Atomic absorption and X-ray microanalysis were performed in group slaughtered. Atomic absorption estimated
a mean presence of 1665 mg/kg of aluminium in the granulomas. X-ray microanalysis detected the presence of copper,
from the specimen support grid, of osmium, uranium and
lead, from specimen processing, allowing better examination of cytological detail, and of aluminium, which was found
with ease in each of the target specimens, including within
the cytoplasm of macrophages within peripheral granulomas
outside the areas of major necrosis (Fig. 5).
