نظریه دو عاملی هرزبرگ

فردریک هرزبرگ بر این باور بود که رابطه کار با فرد یک رابطه اصولی و اساسی است و فاکتورهای ضعیف بهداشتی می‌تواند بر عوامل انگیزشی تأثیر منفی بگذارد. طبق این نظریه عوامل بهداشتی به تنهایی برای انگیزش افراد کافی نیست

نظریه هرزبرگ راجع به عوامل بهداشتی و عوامل انگیزشی موثر بر رضایت شغلی

به‌نظر ربطی به سلامت یا بهداشت ندارد. مفهوم متفاوتی است که تعریفش به این قرار می‌باشد

He called the satisfiers motivators and the dissatisfiers hygiene factors, using
the term "hygiene" in the sense that they are considered maintenance factors that are necessary to avoid dissatisfaction but that by themselves do not provide satisfaction.

در منابع فارسی به «بهداشت» ترجمه شده که به‌نظر درست نیست.

maintenance factors تاحدی مترادف ان است
پس می‌توان از «عامل نگه‌دارنده» نیز استفاده کرد.

Hygiene Factors: Herzberg identified ten maintenance or hygiene factors, that are not intrinsic parts of a job, but are related to the conditions in which the job has to be performed. These are company policy and administration, technical supervision, job security, working conditions, interpersonal relationship with peers, subordinates and supervisors, salary, job security, personal life, etc.


مثال‌های بالا حداقل ارتباط را با بهداشت و سلامت کار دارند.
