Portuguese term
fresco em fresco
Portuguese to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
ancient building restoration
The meaning of this is clear in Portuguese but what would be an appropriate phrase in English ?
" PINTURA técnica aplicada em paredes e tetos que consiste em pintar sobre reboco fresco e húmido com tinta diluída em água de cal"
In my specific case we are dealing with the application of a waterproofing agent over stonework as part of the restoration of a heritage listed building

fresco on fresco
I believe "fresco" is the right word for your context.
fresco: a painting done rapidly in watercolor on wet plaster on a wall or ceiling, so that the colors penetrate the plaster and become fixed as it dries. - https://quizlet.com/63644021/art-history-vocab-flash-cards/
watercolor: a paint of which the liquid is a water dispersion of the binding material (such as glue, casein, or gum) (Merriam-Webster)
"Table with a unique and timeless design in which the apparent thinness and lightness of the glass top contrasts with the considerable diameter of the columns. These columns acquire greater expressive force from the different colours and textures of the cladding materials: the warmth and distinction of the mesh in bronze metal thread, the shine of the stainless steel, the concrete craftsmanship of the Fresco finish, made manually by mixing cement paste, inert materials such as sand, marble dust,
earths and special resins that allow processing "fresco on fresco" same as frescos and able to show stripes, spots, variegation, slight holes: all these are marks of the artist’s hand and exalt the beauty of always different finishes, never repetitive." - http://www.acerbisdesign.com/en/products-fornitures/sereniss...
