Bonjour,
Je cherche à traduire "stub" dans la phrase "Self-aligning ball bearings, heavy duty housings, triple lipped seals, patented stub & sleeve system, drip rings to protect bearings on raised wings from water run-off, no greasing required".
Il s'agit d'un extrait d'un manuel de tondeuse à gazon à usage professionnel.
J'ai trouvé diverses traductions, du coup je ne sais pas trop laquelle utiliser.
Merci de votre aide :)

I think the first thing to do is to find out exactly what this "stub & sleeve" system actually does — you'll probably have to look at the manufacturer's literature for this, as we can't, since you haven't been able to share their name with us.
Once you know what it does and how it does it, and the form it takes, then and only then will you be able to start looking for a translation solution. Bear in mind that while EN often describes the form something takes (here, a 'stub'), the FR very often requires a description of its function. This is quite likely to have a bearing in this particular instance.
