Movimentar

Portuguese to English Tech/Engineering Petroleum Eng/Sci Gas Law
Prezados Colegas,

God bless you!!

agree Fernando Domeniconi : Transport: The volume of gas that can be transported in a pipeline depends on two main factors... (www.natgas.info/html/gaspipelines.html )

agree R. Alex Jenkins : Yes, but we need to be careful with "..the transporter can transport.." so as not to get repetitive, but I think that 'SHIP' is ideal...the transporter can ship around...

move

Veja: http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews/idUSN043301742009...

"Kinder Morgan Energy Partners said Wednesday it expects to *move* fuels blended with five percent biodiesel across the South in the Plantation oil products pipeline this year"

"The company recently moved 20,000 barrels of the blended fuel via a Mississippi-to-South Carolina segment of the line"

"Kinder expects to move the blends, known as B5, to markets in Alabama"
Peer comment(s):

agree Floriana Leary : Almost every where I search 'move' was it!

handle

As in 'handling capacity' or 'capacity to handle'
Example sentence:

Maximum handling capacity will be 14 million tons of crude per year.

The $ 1.5 bn project could be operational by end-2007, with a maximum handling capacity of 16 bn cmpy, though initial capacity is expected at 8 bn cmpy.
