I' m translating a file about a paper cutting and sample making device. The title of the file is "Print to cut registration - Key parameters "

Rx, Ry - distance from Register mark to ***design blank***

Sx, Sy - distance from Sheet edge to Register mark

Basically I need an explication of the term - none of the colleagues in EN-LV pair have answered yet. Thanks in advance.

Structural design
The structural design is prepared using a design software tool, as ArtiosCad.

The two register marks are positioned symmetric and in a known position relative to the design (Rx and Ry).

In a company working with this system, one should standardize these values and use the same offset (Rx and Ry) in all designs.

The Program file for the sample maker is output from the design system.

Another output from the design software is a template that is used in the graphical design software to correctly position the register marks relative to the graphics.

The graphical design is prepared using a graphical design software tool.

The structural design template is used to correctly position the graphics and the register marks relative to the structural design.

When the graphics and the register marks are printed, the print is positioned in a known position relative to the sheet edge.

The nominal values for the position of the register marks is:

Sx - the position of the first register mark relative to the sheet edge in X.

Sy - the position of the register marks relative to the sheet edge in Y.

In a company working with this system, one should standardize these values and use the same offset (Sx and Sy) in all designs.

Sample production
On the sample maker, the offset values Rx,Ry and Sx,Sy must be entered into the system.

Sx, Sy are used to move the pointing device to the correct position. When the position of the register mark is obtained, offset RX, Ry are used to position the structural design relative to the register marks.
