Time? Sep 3, 2007

Hi all, Thanks to everyone whose signed up so far. In response to Neil's question, yes we could easily start a bit later. What time would suit people best?
Best regards,
Sarah

Not too late Sep 3, 2007

Personally I can be fairly flexible about time, but starting late in the evening may cause travel problems for those coming from further away, and bars would be getting noisier. So I would have thought it would be a mistake to start any later than, say, 6 p.m. (and is even that too late for people who want to get home by train that night?) Neil doesn't actually say what time he could manage - it might be helpful if we knew that.

Armorel makes a good point - the 'stylish Lace Market area' becomes considerably less stylish after about 8.00 p.m.! It's probably better if I try and re-jig my commitments rather than inconvenience everyone else...

Let's stick with the same time then Sep 4, 2007

Jolly good Neil, I'm sure we'll be around for a while. And yes Nottingham on a Saturday night is a little 'lively'!

Do bring partners, friends, etc. Sep 19, 2007

Hi Jennifer and all,
Please do feel free to bring your husbands/wives/partners/friends/relatives (maybe not pets though, not sure on the Kean's Head policy there) - no restriction to linguists at all.
Romina, the main Proz powwow organizer, has also set up links so that we potentially talk to people attending other powwows that are happening at the same time using Skype. I will bring my laptop/mobile broadband connection and who knows, we might be able to chat to translators in Fran

Yes 3pm it is at the Kean's Head. Andrew has also confirmed. I will get there early to try and get the nicest corner table and have some lunch I expect.
Hope to see you all there!
