The One Step Syphilis Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma Test is designed as an immunochromatographic, rapid diagnostic assay for the qualitative detection of treponema pallidum (TP) specific antibody in human venous whole blood, finger-stick whole blood, serum, and plasma. It is used as an aid for diagnosis of treponema pallidum infection for people with a high risk of syphilis infection, women with a history of high risk of syphilis infection (including pregnant women), and unidentified infants or children. It is intended use by trained competent users but not lay users. Results from the One Step Syphilis Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma Test should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis.
PRINCIPLES OF THE PROCEDURE
The One Step Syphilis Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma Test utilizes the principle of immunochromatography. As specimen flows through the membrane assembly of the device after addition of the buffer, the colored TP recombinant antigen colloidal gold conjugate antibodies complex the proteins in the specimen. This complex moves further on the membrane to the test region (T) where it is immobilized by the TP recombinant antigen coated on the membrane. This leads to formation of a colored band in the respective regions, which confirms a positive test result. When the TP antibody levels are zero or below the target cutoff, no visible colored band will appear in the test region (T) of the device. This indicates a negative result.
To serve as a procedure control, a colored band will appear at the control region (C), if the test has been performed properly.

Source text - English Medical condition/diseases present before starting the investigational drug will be considered adverse events only if they worsen after starting study treatment. Throughout the course of the study, all solicited and unsolicited AEs will be monitored and reported on an AE CRF, including the event’s seriousness, severity, action taken, and relationship to investigational product(s). AEs should be followed until resolution or stable and the outcome will be documented on the appropriate CRF. All AEs should be recorded in standard medical terminology rather than the subject’s own words.
This SAE was reported for a 28-year-old female who complained of mild right intercostal tenderness over the right chest wall with no respiratory complaints upon arrival for her third dose visit. The subject had a baseline positron emission tomography and computed tomography (PET-CT) in 2015 which was considered unremarkable for extracervical disease. A re-staging CT scan was done on January 13, 2016, which upon comparison to the baseline CT from August 12, 2015 showed new bilateral noncalcified pulmonary nodules, no definite evidence of recurrent or metastatic disease in the abdomen or pelvis, and rectal wall thickening which was considered consistent with post-radiation treatment changes.
Patients were randomly assigned to paclitaxel XX mg/m2 every 3 weeks or XX mg/m2 weekly. The table below presents patient characteristics in the combined sample by stratification factors, demographics (age and race), and pretreatment clinical characteristics. For the combined sample, the response rate (RR) of weekly paclitaxel is XX versus XX for 3-weekly paclitaxel. After adjusting for line of therapy, HER-2 status, and performance score, the hazard ratio (HR) was XXX (95% CI, XXX; P = XXX). The addition of drug B in HER-2 nonoverexpressors did not have a significant impact on overall survival (OS). Clinically significant cardiac events prompting serious adverse event reporting and hospitalization occurred in four patients; there were no deaths attributable to cardiac toxicity.

1 第一段的前半段all solicited and unsolicited AEs will be monitored and reported这句里面的solicited and unsolicited在我能查到的医学术语里还没有完全对应的版本，我查阅资料后觉得有一篇港台的关于疫苗反应记录的新闻用词很符合这个语境下的措辞，就是设定和非设定，因为原文意思上也是不论是否为前期规定的不良反应都应被记录，这也是不良事件记录机制的初衷。
2 后面半句including the event’s seriousness, severity, action taken, and relationship to investigational product(s)里，seriousness, severity从表面都是严重程度的意思，但是医学环境下显然各自要有区别，那么不良事件关注的对象应该是受试者接受药品后的具体反应，反应的程度和这个程度对应的事件会造成的严重性，因此我认为翻译成事件的严重性和发病度比较准确。
3 第一段后半段AEs should be followed until resolution or stable这半句, 我认为应该翻译成受试者症状解除或体征稳定，症状是主观感受，体征是客观测试结果表现，这点我之前在专业医生那里进行过讨论，得到了肯定。
