A friend of mine is starting an Italian class for adults in September and she is looking for a text book for the class.
Do you have any suggestions for well balanced grammar-vocabulary-interesting activities books?

I don't have this book any more, and I forget the name of the publisher. The book I had was upper-intermediate level. I've read loads of Italian textbooks and this one, Insieme, is really the best I've come across.
