Spanish term

"Es para el marco de un shablon"

Spanish to English Other Manufacturing serigrafía
Hi people! I'm translating a movie script from Spanish to English and the character in the scene wants to make a "shablon" (a device used to work in serigraphy) I can't find the proper way to translate it: which is the proper way to name it in English? Is it stencil?
TIA and have a great day!

Not sure about 'el marco' 'shablon' is definitely chablon stencil, but I think that only the context of the dialogue could give a real hint to 'el marco'.

It could be 'a frame' if it is talking about the use of the chablon, which needs guides on each side to slide from-to, like in the video clip on this page. (You don't have to do it like that, but it is certainly a neat method!)

However, if the the character is making the frame in order to make the stencil itself, then 'mould' or 'pattern' may actually be better.

Alternative: it is for a frame for a chablon.
A chablon is a stencil used in confectionery etc.

By extension, the term may be applied to silkscreening, in which case I would go with just "stencil" unless you have evidence that the term "chablon stencil" is idiomatic usage in English.
