social and professional/occupational/vocational integration

The "inserción" part is integration, and you can choose whichever one of three options strikes your fancy for the "laboral" part--all are used.

I don't think "placement" fits as well with the "social" part ("social placement" can be used to express the idea of "social position"). "Integration" is commonly used for "inserción"--see, for example, EuroDicAutom:

inserción y reinserción profesionales en el mercado laboral

Reference Tratado de la Unión Europea,Maastricht 1992

TERM vocational integration and reintegration into the labour market

Reference Treaty on European Union,Maastricht 1992

I should also say that it depends on what exactly they're doing, too. AFAIK, "inserción sociolaboral" is often used to refer to programs for immigrants, or drug addicts, or other specific groups, whose aim is to get these people into the mainstream of society and give them the skills they need to get a job--not necessarily place them in a specific job. I don't think you can use "placement" unless the NGO is actually finding jobs for them.
Note from asker:
Cindy, which is better, integration or placement. and thank you.

insertion in work and society

"insertion in society" is a commonly used phrase in immigration contexts. Also "professional insertion in society" and "insertion in society through work", if either of those is the underlying meaning.
