See my added comment. There does not appear to be a general use of the term because the term is NOT an accepted term in English.

sidewinder?

Declined
a sidewinder is a type of venomous snake found in desert regions in the USA (maybe elsewhere). It moves in a funny way, sort of a wiggle that moves it sideways from where its head is pointed.

It may also be used to designate a person of low values.

regarding your request: I am UNABLE to find an English word \"sidewander\" in any of the references I have available (and I do have quite a few). On the web, the word \"sidewander\" seems to be a misspelling of \'sidewinder\'.

Of course, it may be a made-up word, by a poet or author. To determine the meaning in such a case, you would have to contact the author.

So, I am sure that there is no acceptable use of the word \'sidewander\' because it is not an accepted English term (at least in the USA--and you would have heard from the Brits if it were used in Great Britain).
