The Turkish name of the Governor-General of Rumelia in 1470

English Science History THE SIEGE OF CONSTANTINOPLE
The Turkish name of the Governor-General of Rumelia (the European provinces of the Ottoman Empire) in 1470.

I cannot reference the historical figures marked bellow by the three timestamps.

COLIN IMBER: Um … not only of … um … humble everyday domestic slaves, but also of members of the imperial family, because we find a Governor-General of Rumelia, of the European provinces of the Empire, in 1470 trading under a Turkish name 34:11 ((Has Murad Pasha)), but he was a member of Palaiologos family and indeed 34:16 ((Mesih Pasha)), the Ottoman commander of the failed siege of Rhodes in 1480 and later Grand Vizier, was also a member of the Palaiologos family and another Greek Vizier of the fourteen sixties is known in Turkish as 34:31 ((Rum Mehmed Pasha)) or Mehmed Pasha the Greek, so we know they were Greeks, the old aristocracy, if I can call them that, continue to trade, but under different names.

Thanks in advance. Darek

For Mesih Pasha, change M with N: Nesih Pasha. There are Turkish and French references in Turkish Ministery of Culture and Tourism:

For the ((Mesih Pasha)) - Could you provide any biographical reference. I have found only that: http://tinyurl.com/26xbm7. Also for the ((Rum Mehmed Pasha)) I know that someone with that name really existed: http://tinyurl.com/2jqbj3 but can't find any biographical references.

((Has Murad Pasha)) - http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/İstanbul_Murat_Paşa_Camii. Is 'Has Murad Pasha' the English equivalent of the Turkish 'Has Murat Paşa'? Is 'Has Murat Paşa' and the Governor-General of Rumelia really one and the same person? I do not know Turkish to compare the both texts and there isn't much about it on the net in English.
