This is what it means

Po-faced means "having an assumed solemn, serious, or earnest expression or manner : piously or hypocritically solemn" (Merriam Websters).

It means that beauty advertising has not moved on from the kind of advertisement they used to make for Milk Tray (chocolates)

Yes, it\'s a tough one. If you\'re stuck, you could always ask the question on the English-Polish site and give the explanation I have given.

\"Guess i could just ommit the phrase \"po-faced\"??\" No, I wouldn\'t do that - perhaps a translation of \"too serious\" or \"humourless\"
