Guar gum. guar sakızı diye geçen maddenin literatürdeki adı Guar Gum veya Guar Zamkıdır. Avrupa Kotlama sisteminde E 412 ile gösterilmiştir. Hint salkım fasulyesin (Indian cluster bean)den elde edilen diyetsel liflerdir. Guar gum çoğunlukla kıvam artırıcı olarak reçel, marmelat, meyve suları, dondurma gibi gıda maddelerinde, ilaç ve kozmetik sanayiinde katkı maddesi olarak kullanılmaktadır.
