"Easement" is its technical title in law; a positive e. is the right to do something on land belonging to another, such as to gain access to a source of water, or e.g. to drive across a strip of land to one's garage, or to prevent the owner of the land building a shed or something across your "right-of-way", which you use to reach your garage.

However, I cannot be sure that this is what the "permissions" are - the expression is most unusual in English, and I wonder if it was ENS-written.
