Im Text geht es um Ausrüstung für eine Hochdruckgasanlage.

Zum Schweißen noch mal:

"Pertianing to the welding of the joint of a header or pipe, one separate specimen must be prepared for the concerned header or pipe (or one specimen for every 50 meters of the welding line or for each *fraction* thereof, if the difference in thickness is not more than 6 millimeters, and if a header or a longitudinal pipe joint of the same material is to be succesively welded under the same condition), under the same conditions as those applied for such header or pipe, following the welding."

Leider ein Bandwurmsatz. Es geht nur um "fraction". Ist das nun eine Unterbrechung, ein Bruch oder nur ein Abschnitt der Schweißnaht - wie versteht ihr das?

Darunter heißt es übrigens in einem anderen Beispiel:

"Pertaining to the welding of the joint of a header or pipe, one separate specimen must be prepared for the concerned header or pipe (or one specimen per section, if welding conditions vary by section)" - dort also "section" statt "fraction".
