For the determination of hexavalent chrome on the prepared surface of parts that have undergone some type of surface preparation (e.g., chromate rinse, conversion coating, phosphating, etc.) prior to being coated with an e-coat, a-coat, paint, or other type of organic coating, the following procedure must be followed.

...it may help someone else. Electrostatic and "Autophoretic(R)" are anti-corrosion treatments of steel
(see: http://www.finishing.com/141/60.html ) for a discussion. What the German for the latter is I've no idea - the rule is that RTMs such as this are not translated, but I guess there is a specialist term for "electrostatic" as well.
