De 'double figure eight' wordt ook wel 'bunny ears' genoemd, omdat de knoop de vorm heeft van twee konijnenoren.
(In het Nederlands wordt de mickeyknoop ook wel de konijneorenknoop genoemd).

: Slight nuance but FTR: DF8 is the knot only. "DF8 loop" has the bunny ears.
