Dutch term

voor een kleine oplage verpakkingen zorgen

Dutch to English Other Printing & Publishing
Website text for a company that designs packaging.

I'm not completely au fait with the printing process, but does it sound 'authentic' to translate this as 'With/Using our mock-ups, we can produce short runs of packaging (one or more examples)...'?

Like I like Phil's suggestion because it is what they are saying, but phrased so much more economically!
philgoddard Nov 16, 2011:
I've posted what I think is a simpler alternative as an answer.
Chris Hopley Nov 16, 2011:
Yes Your own solution or Olly's alternative sound fine.
Clair Richards Nov 16, 2011:
Low volume production How about that?
Oliver Pekelharing Nov 16, 2011:
short packaging runs sounds finer, imo!
Textpertise Nov 16, 2011:
Yes Your suggested translation sounds fine.

I would forget about "low-volume production" or "short packaging runs" and just say: "We can also produce one or more mockups which are indistinguishable from the real thing."

A "run" is more printing. Mock-ups are actual boxes. So a production batch is better IMO.

neutral Textpertise : The term "production run" does not only apply to printing
