Verbetering van m'n antwoord: het moet een t-bridle joint zijn voor een overgeschoven slisverbinding.
Een gewone slisverbinding is een bridle joint.
Een gewone slisverbinding wordt volgens mij ook "open-slot mortise joint" genoemd.

: Correct. A bridle joint is a reversed m & t joint. When it occurs at a corner, it is actually a through m & t joint. An 'overgeschoven slisverbinding' is a normal bridle joint. There are also stopped and angled bridle joints.

as a “post and I-beam connection”. A picture shown elsewhere makes it look like a special case of a “mortise-and-tenon” joint.
Instructions found on another site for apprentice carpenters, describes the process of making a slisverbinding as follows:
Boor het vierkant gat voor slisverbinding ( let op aan beide zijde inboren i.v.m. splinteren aan de achterzijde )
Stel de lintzaagmachine af en zaag het gat voor slisverbinding verder in.
Stel de lintzaagmachine af en zaag de pen voor slisverbinding.
This description corresponds exactly to making a mortise-and-tenon joint.
