It really all depends on the nature of the blunder made
Here are some nouns to choose from - if you are able post a little more detail (in general terms) about what type of blunder has been made it will be easier to place it and link it to the best possible adjective under the circumstances.
Here's the ideas anyway taken from the Collins Thesaurus - for example you can "drop a clanger" in public speeach but it wouldn't work if the error has been in print.
Sure looking up some reference to Bushisms may also help....;-))
