Een collega van me zegt "bridging year". Wat vinden jullie?

preparatory programme
bridging year is niet juist.

I think that Preparatory Year is very commonly used - including by Leiden University.
the notion of "bridging year" is also possible, but it raises the question of what is being bridged.

access course

Access is often used pre-university, to gain university entrance. So perhaps not as relevant in your context in retrospect.
