Term used for chemical plants
This term occurs frequently in a series of Flemish texts about fire protection systems and measures in a chemical plant. Most instances refer to something "rondom het blokveld".
E.g. de ringleiding rondom het blokveld
Is this simply 'block field"? Or is it just 'block' or is there another English term?

block field
I have done some translations for BASF in Antwerp. The factory is subdivided into blocks for easy identification in case of emergencies, like fire or emissions. I have used block field and got no complaints.

Comment: "Indeed. It seems to be more of a Flemish term used in and around Antwerp (for obvious reasons)"
