s odpustením, ale keďže ide o češtinu čo to robí na slovenskej stránke? Treba vari expandovať "drank nach Osten"?
Stuart Hoskins Feb 7, 2014:
in my day That would be "In my day [we wouldn't dream of [/dare to]". Probably a phrase that has to be treated in different ways, then, depending on the setting.
Václav Pinkava Feb 7, 2014:
contextwise "Děti, co z vás vyroste" is also perfectly compatible with an old lady in a park feeling compelled to tick-off unruly teenagers found snogging right next to the 'keep off the grass' sign ...
Stuart Hoskins Feb 7, 2014:
you're driving me up the wall Can you give more details of the specific situation? I’ve discussed this with my (Czech) wife and based on her explanations she would use “co z vas vyroste” at exactly the same times as my mother used to exclaim “you’re driving me up the wall”, i.e. perhaps we’re looking for tone rather than a more literal meaning.

neutral Václav Pinkava : Too bookish and ambiguous - fearful / exasperated

My point exactly. A person making this sort of comment IS fearful and exasperated.
agree Mishiczka : That's pretty much what it means.
