Italian term
bonificazione muscolare
Italian to English
Medical
Medical (general)
In a description of a machine that measures various factors in a person's body in order to program beauty treatments. (Basically cellulite treatments etc.) One of the initial tests the machine runs measures "funzionalità scambio minerali (% bonificazione muscolare)". I think the scambio bit is 'replacement', but I can't find any medical definitions for bonificazione.

the process seems to involve electrostimulation to tone up the muscles when talking about machines but can also involve exercises. It seems to mean that the slack muscles are toned up. This seems to come up both in esthetic write ups and rehabilitative texts.
