Discussion

Marjory Hord (asker) Aug 19, 2016:
Spanish context Expansión adiabática y cualquiera. Toberas. Corrientes de comprensión. Difusores. Líneas de pano. Estados metaestables en la expansión de un vapor.
Marjory Hord (asker) Aug 19, 2016:
Not spoken It is part of someone's CV, I gather, with the content of courses taught? I am only doing one part, and it wasn't spoken. It's typed, in fact, pre-computer days. However Fanno lines sounds interesting.
DLyons Aug 19, 2016:
Seems most likely to be "plano=plane" but there's something missing.

Lines drawn in some plane e.g. the nozzle exit plane.
philgoddard Aug 19, 2016:
It's fluid flow theory or fluid dynamics, rather than "theory of the flow of fluids".
Could you give us the context in Spanish, please? It may be possible to find the syllabus online.

Fanno lines

I'm guesing that "pano" was heard when "Fanno" was spoken.

If it was dictated to a typist (how quaint that now sounds) it's quite a possible error. It fits the context of adiabatic expansion etc.
