f(a)ecal bacteriology (test)
"Fecal" = US spelling, "faecal" = UK spelling
Just a thought. It reminded me of this question about "coproparazitologie":
http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1541550
Assuming that was correct, it seems logical to assume this will be split into two words as well - and "f(a)ecal bacteriology" does seem to exist on some US/English/Australian sites:
"Mucosal morphology, cell proliferation and *faecal bacteriology* in acute pouchitis (p.1445-1449)
W. A. Kmiot, D. Youngs, R. Tudor, H. Thompson, M. R. B. Keighley
Abstract
A study was performed to investigate whether acute reservoir ileitis (pouchitis) is associated with specific changes in mucosal morphology, crypt cell kinetics and *faecal bacteriology* in the ileal pouch."
http://www.bjs.co.uk/bjsCda/cda/microJournalArticleDetail.do...
"Most GPs will order a Faecal Bacteriology and Parasitology test. This test looks for abnormal bacteria and parasites that SHOULD NOT BE IN THE GUT..."
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q="faecal bacteriology"...
(Disappointingly, the phrase disappears when you actually click on the link from the Google page!)
And it seems "fecal bacteriology" can be used on its own to mean "test":
"Primates can present problems of restraint and of public health. They should undergo a period of quarantine. During this period they should be weighed, tuberculin tested, have *fecal bacteriology for Salmonella, Shigella and Campylobacter* as well as parasitology, and closely observed for any symptoms of disease, particularly herpes virus B."

I feel a little off colour now!

And in the link below, they seem to be using it to test for the same things that the "fecal bacteriology" is used to test for in the UCLA link I posted above:
"fecal bacteriology for Salmonella, Shigella and Campylobacter..."
cf.
"coprobacteriologie pozitiva pentru Salmonela sp. Shigella sp., E. coli 0157:H7, Camphylobacter sp."

Looks like there's also "stool bacteriology":
"Stool and urine microscopy, and for a limited period *stool bacteriology*, were also performed."

culture test
in cadrul examenului fecalelor(faeces examination), examimarea microscopica poata numele de coprocultura, traducerea in angleza a termenului fiind "culture test" - a se vedea "Limba engleza pentru medici si asistente" - autor M.Mandelbrojt-Sweeney, editura Polirom

if "culture test" doesn't seem to be specific enought for faeces microscopic examination, I think that "faeces culture test" will be enough.
