Maxim Soolkovskiy . Been using this tool for over 3 months. Good things: runs fast, cloud based, can work even from mobile devices, does not need any third party software or anything installed on the device - even the Internet browser would suffice.
Bad things: Payment terms. On their site in the help section they warn that there is 5 days period from the moment the Customer pays for the Project and till the moment they send this money to your account.
I've compleeted quite a big project last month and the Customer paid for it on April 6th. However, it is April 13th already and the money still has not been transferred to my bank account.
A very bad and shady practice to keep Customer's money for extra days as if 10% fee is not enough.

How easy is it to learn?
Far superior and far more price effective than Trados/SDL

Ryan Saxon Montcalm . I have used this CAT for over a year now. It has far superior performance, ease of use and cost effectiveness than Trados/SDL. Trados constantly breaks down, deteriorates profits and is difficult to use. Customer support is also excellent with the Smartcat whereas customer service is non-existent for Trados/SDL.

Tags that doesn't work or move around.
Segments, that can't be confirmed.
A chat system, that doesn't work.
A overview of jobs, that doesn't work. (too) Many e-mails
Nice staff and people - yet system still works (or not) as described above unfortunately - just sad :(
PS: The tool is an online tool - thus hard to "own" - have worked in it for years though

Kamlesh Dhavale . When I say I own this tool, I mean I have a user account and have worked on more than one project.
When I didn't have SDL Trados Studio 2019, I tried opening and SDL Package on SmartCat. It worked like a charm. It extracted the translateable file automatically and even presented better-than-average machine translation as well.

Gaelle Lehouque . I've been using Smartcat for about one year.
I had never used any other CAT tool before and it turned out very easy to start with. The support is extremely efficient and fast, it looks like the team really cares about you.
I've since tried other CAT tools (free tools & free trials for paid ones) and none has convinced me they were worth switching.
I also love the design, comfortable to the eyes, which I find relevant when spending 8 hours a day in front of your segments.
Sure, there are a few extras I'd love to see but all in all, if you need TB, TM, MT, concordance search, QA check, it's great!
