Install the Xpdf command-line tools as described here.

Open the Terminal. Navigate to the folder containing the PDF that you want to convert to HTML. Type:


pdftohtml pdfname.pdf foldername

Open the Terminal. Navigate to the folder containing the PDF that you want to convert to HTML. Type:


pdftohtml pdfname.pdf foldername


You get a folder "foldername" that contains, TrueType fonts, images and 2 or more HTML files that you can translate.

Bold and italics character formatting is saved, underlined character formatting isn't kept (probably because underlined has a meaning in html).

Users of Keyboard Maestro can use a macro like this:

You'll have to adapt the path in the macro. The macro assumes that the PDF is named 1.pdf and placed on the Desktop. You can change this to your needs.
