Oriental Pearl Tower
Set against the city backdrop, the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower, likened to pearls dropping onto the
jade plate, adorns the majestic Huangpu River. Standing at 468 meters (1,536 feet) tall, the tower
houses a space gallery, two viewing halls and an exhibition hall. Right in the highest sphere at 351
meters (1,152 feet), visitors are welcomed into the space capsule gallery by an astronaut. The
middle sphere at a height of 259 meters (850 feet) boasts the best 360 degree view of the whole
city. Take that one step further, have a walk through the glass- bottomed corridor and enjoy the

flight in the technological wonder of the super-fast elevator, which sends you right up to the 88th
floor in a mere 45 seconds! At a height of 420.5 meters (1,380 feet), the viewing hall boasts a
picturesque view of Shanghai's cityscape; and don't forget to stay till sunset for an unforgettable,
rosy sight of the Huangpu River.
Shanghai World Financial Center
Feel at the top of the world at the Shanghai World Financial Center. Standing at 492 meters (1,614
feet) tall, this is the tallest flat-roof building in the world! Take in the magnificent skyline from a
bird’s eye view starting at the 94th floor, all the way to the 100th floor which is 474 meters (1,555
feet) high. Go on and take a walk in the sky on the glass-made, transparent, sightseeing bridge on
the 9th floor.
Central Parkland
Sprawling over 100,000 square meters (25 acres), right in the heart of the financial zone, is the
largest open lawn in the city, Central Parkland. With lush greenery, exquisite landscaping and an

determinada localización obedece a una lógica de causación circular, en la que los rendimientos
crecientes a escala y los encadenamientos hacia atrás y hacia adelante de las empresas conducen a
una aglomeración de actividades que se auto refuerza progresivamente. Una vez que una región
tiene una alta concentración productiva, este patrón tiende a ser acumulativo: la región dominante
adquiere una ventaja de localización, esto es, deviene atractiva para las firmas, debido al gran
número de éstas que ya producen allí (y no, por ejemplo, por estar mejor dotado de factores), esto
es, el éxito explica el éxito. Claro que estos procesos acumulativos tienen un límite, porque llega un
momento en que en contra de las fuerzas centrípetas que obran a favor de la aglomeración
(economías externas, encadenamientos y mercados laborales densos), comienzan a actuar fuerzas
centrífugas como los precios de la tierra, los costos del transporte y las des-economías externas

Hello, I'm Dorien Das, I was born in The Netherlands in 1979 and since I was very young I felt a strong attraction towards Spain and the Spanish speaking world. I started studying the language in 2004, followed by several short to long term visits to both Spain and Latin America, learning a lot about the cultures and of course the Spanish language. To test my level I took the DELE exams of the Instituto Cervantes in 2010 the B2 and in 2019 the C2, which I passed. In July 2020 I earned the Cambridge Proficiency Exam (C2), which accommodates my English knowledge claims.
Meanwhile, I had studied Philosophy at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, crowned with a Master of Arts degree in 2008; I had worked in various parts of Europe as a volunteer translator, adventure sports guide, financial management operator and since 2015 as a full partner in the company Arista Vertical, together with my spouse. In 2014 I decided to move permanently to Spain and I went to Granada, Spain. Now I live in Cogollos de la Vega, a charming village near Granada. With great joy, I work as an independent freelance translator, applying dedication and accuracy to transforming a wide range of publications from Spanish into Dutch, Spanish into English and English into Dutch.
