No segundo dia da greve do metroviários, os paulistanos enfrentam uma manhã de caos nesta sexta-feira (6): 31 das 61 estações do metrô estão fechadas, o trânsito da manhã foi recorde histórico para o período e um protesto da Força Sindical bloqueou parte da avenida Paulista.
Por volta das 10h30 desta sexta-feira o trânsito bateu o recorde histórico da cidade, com 252 km de lentidão o que representa 29% dos 868 km monitorados. A média para o horário é de 12%.
Os metroviários de São Paulo decidiram, em assembleia realizada na noite de quinta-feira (5), manter a paralisação nesta sexta-feira. A categoria participou de uma nova audiência com o Metrô durante a tarde, mas não chegou a um acordo.
Na reunião, os metroviários sugeriram reajuste de 12,2% --antes era 16,5%--, mas os representantes do Metrô afirmaram que não existe possibilidade financeira de conceder reajuste maior que 8,7%.
O presidente do Metrô, Luiz Antonio Carvalho Pacheco, lembrou que o aumento nos benefícios resultarão em aumentos de 10,6% a 13,3%.
O piso salarial dos metroviários é de R$ 1.323,55. A data-base é de 1º de maio.
Translation - English Residents of São Paulo face metro strike, traffic and protests
On the second day of strike action by the metro workers, São Paulo residents were confronted with a morning of utter chaos. Thirty one of the sixty one metro stations are closed. The morning traffic reached record levels for this period and the demonstration by the trade union for the metro workers, blocked a part of Paulista Avenue.
At about 10:30 this Friday, traffic jams reached record levels in the city with 252 Km of slow moving traffic. This represents 29% of the 868 Km of roads that are monitored in the city. The average for this period is normally 12%.
In a meeting that took place on Thursday evening (5 June) the metro workers decided to maintain their strike action on Friday. Another meeting was held between union officials and and the metro company but, as yet, no agreement was made. In the meeting, the metro workers asked for a pay increase of 12.2% (before this, they had asked for 16.5%) but this was declined by the metro company owing to a lack of finances. They company has offered 8.7%.
The president of the metro company, Luiz Antonio Carvalho Pacheco, reminded all those concerned that the overall package that was offered, in real terms, means that the wage increase would be between 10.6 to 13.3%.
The upper limit of the metro workers` salary is R$ 1.323,55. This is based on data from the 1st May.
